Spring is here in the Northern California town of Placerville. A town filled with pine trees, and nestled in the foothills of the Sierra Mountains. It’s the freshest time of the morning and I have just dropped my daughter off at school and driven a leisurely mile to one of my favorite local destinations, the Smith Flat portion of the El Dorado Trail. New vibrant green grass and the blooming of spring surround me as I sit here with my best friend Jesus.
My heart is filled with the knowledge of His love for me today, and it seems as though He bids me speak and tell of His great and awesome love. A love that knew no limits when He sacrificed His life for you and me as He died on Calvary. A love that is as great and limitless as the expanding universe and beyond. Infinite and immeasurable always above and outside our full knowledge and comprehension of the love of God. Yet now for us, made so simple to understand, this one true fact, that the One who loves us is the one who sacrificed. And this sacrifice was in giving His only begotten son. The one who is one with the Father from eternity past, present and future. One with the Father in heart, mind, spirit, and truth. In every comprehensible way the one who sacrificed was one with the sacrifice and the sacrifice was one with the Father.
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness and the darkness comprehended it not.” John 1:1-5
“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of Grace and truth.” John 1:14.
