Hi, my name is Melody Anderson. I am sharing my testimony about how the Lord answers prayer about the little things in our lives.
About a year ago I bough a mattress set from a friend of mine. I was going to have my old mattress set moved out and the new one moved in. My friend gave me the name of some professional local movers that might be able to do that for me.
So, I called the movers and he said, “Sure, I can do that for you. Text me your information, and I will get back to you.” So I did that, and I did not hear from him for quite awhile. Later on that year, I called him again and I asked him could he please come and do that. He said, “Oh yes, we could do that for you. Text me your information and I’ll get back to you.” So I did that and I did not hear from him for several months.
I finally got around to calling the movers again and I said, “Remember me?” He said, No, I don’t remember talking to you,” and I said, “I was the lady who wanted the mattress set moved,” and he said, “Oh yes, I remember you, and so sorry that I never did get to you.” ONCE AGAIN he said, “Text me your information and I’ll get back to you.” So, I did, but after this time, I prayed and I asked the Lord, “Please, MAKE him call me back this time. Please don’t let him forget me.” A few days later, the movers called me and he said he could come to my house on a a Friday if that’s ok. I said, “YES, I have the day off.” He said, “I will call you on that day to let you know what time I can be there.” I wanted to jump for joy! It wasn’t much, but God answered a prayer for something I wanted for almost a year!
On that particular Friday, I was having my morning devotion, and I prayed and asked the Lord, “Father, I don’t want to be here all day waiting for the mover. I have other things to get done. Please MAKE him come before 10 AM.” That was about 7:30 AM when I prayed.
And so, I went about my day. Eight-thirty went by, 9 o’clock, 9:30 went by, and I started to get a little anxious. But Philippians 4:6 says, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;” So I prayed again, “Ok Lord, I really need him to come before 10 AM. I know I asked you before, but I just wanted to ask you again.” The mover finally called me at 9:45! He said “I can be at your house in 10 minutes.”
My heart leaped for joy inside! He showed up at my house at 9:55 to do the job. The Lord granted my request just in time! I thought, “WOW! God paid attention to my little prayer!” It may not have seemed like much, but it was important to me at the time, and He answered my prayer. I was thanking God all day for what he did for me.
I just wanted to encourage you that whatever it is you need, God will answer the littlest prayer. It may not seem like much, but God loves us so much that He will pay attention to every little detail in our lives. He wants to please you, He wants to bless you, and He wants to build your faith in Him. So go ahead and tell God everything that you need. He pays attention to every detail. God bless you all!
