Blessings Jars are easy to make and are a wonderful gift idea as well as a ministry tool. The jars that are pictured cost a little more than the ones I sometimes purchase from the thrift stores for $0.25 to $0.75 cents. These Blessings jars are always warmly received by family, friends and neighbors. Once I met with a group of ladies and we spent a couple hours decorating jars to pass out door to door in the neighborhood. The key of success with these Blessings Jars is to pray over them asking our Heavenly Father to bless the people who will be receiving them with many blessings so that as they see their blessing jars being filled, and they will remember God the giver of all good things and be drawn closer to Him in love and praise and thanksgiving.
On a personal note, I try to read my blessings from Thanksgiving Day to Thanksgiving Day on a yearly basis. starting fresh each year. I also pull out the slips of paper and reread them anytime I need encouragement, also so I can remember Gods blessing and love to me sometimes when I am feeling down. It always picks me up!
They also make great gifts to give our Sisters at Church, filled with blessings and love.
